"Hawaii, has the longest lived people in the United States. They typically live to be over 80, which is three years longer than people on the U.S. mainland. Did you know that New Hampshire is rated the third healthiest state in the country?According to the United Health Foundation in 2005 New Hampshire ranked behind only Minnesota and Vermont as the healthiest state. This ranking can be viewed on www.unitedhealthfoundation.org

Knowing this it is also important to recognize that the challenges that New Hampshire still faces is a high prevalence of smoking at 21.6% of the population and a moderate rate of cancer deaths at 202.6 deaths per 100,000 population. These facts are sometime overlooked.
